Subject: Technical Clarification

 

Dear Bidders,

There is a technical clarification about this Project. Details Pls. refer to the following.

1.      Clarification for BUT UPGRADING AND NEW CPF

1.1 There is no date sheet and specification for package “ BUT UPGRADING AND NEW CPF”. Please provide.

Reply: The data sheets and specification for package “BUT UPGRADING AND NEW CPF” is not available now. We suggest the vendor make the design as per their factory standard and international code and standard.

2.      Clarification for Water treatment Plant

2.1   The valves of following  tag No.( Water Treatment Plant) have no specification, Please Offer:

Reply: Please reference the updated specification in the attachment 1:,  CMIT-110-PIP-15.03-0003_0_SPECIFICATION FOR VALVE

 

 

2.2  About the flat valve, whether need the pilot port?

Reply: The flat valve needn’t the pilot port.

2.3   Usually, NPS≤2”, the valve body used forging, NPS>2: used casting, the castings can meet the technology and apply requirement, we suggest NPS>2” used casting.

Please comply with the requirements of the updated specification CMIT-110-PIP-15.03-0003_0_SPECIFICATION FOR VALVE.. Find it in the attachment 1.

2.4  The requirement between data sheet and MTO is different in WATER TREATMENT PLANT package, i.e. Tag No. GA-1N02,GA-1N03, the details as below:

a.       The valve should be wedge disc type in data sheet and the design standard is API 6D; however, it is flat gate type in the MTO. Please confirm which type we should follow.

Reply: We confirm that vendor should follow data sheet, and the valve should be wedge disc type.

b.      The body material is Duplex Stainless S31803 in valve data sheet. But in the MTO it is WCB+S31803 (THK=3mm). We propose that the better design of the body material can be WCB with PTFE coating which was adopted in our provision of valves for IRAQ AHDEB & HALFAYA oilfield; it will be deformation if built up welding with A182 F51 is applied on the body of flat gate valve.

Reply: We confirm that the body material of GA-1N02 (2”-3”) is S31803, and the body material of GA-1N03 (4”-28”) is WCB+S31803 (THK=3mm).

2.5  Trim material should be disc: WCB+STL. Seat: A105+F51 in data sheet. We propose Duplex Stainless Steel + STL for wedge of gate valve, disc for globe valve & check valve which is superior material.

Reply: We confirm that vendor should follow data sheet, and Trim material should be disc: WCB+STL. Seat: A105+F51.

2.6  in clause 5.2 in the specification of Water Treatment Plant. It is required that “where practical, otherwise elevated to 2100mm from grade to bottom of hand wheel.”, but this is not mentioned in the MTO. Please confirm.

Reply: We confirm that vendor should follow the clause 5.2 in the specification of Water Treatment Plant.

2.7  The different description between DSS and list . (General)

 

 

2.8  Also please note that the documents: CMIT-785-PCS-15.05-0001_A_BULK VALVES MATERIAL TAKE-OFF FOR OILY WATER TREATMENT in ITT Section III has updated to version 0, please find the attachment 2. The difference between these two documents is page 11: the material of valveʹs body for Sour gas were changed from “Forged-A105+3mm Corrosion Allowance ” to “Forged-A105+3mm RPTFE” , the others were not changed.

2.9  Also please note the Attachment 3: CMIT-110-PCS-15.05-0001_0_BULK VALVE MATERIAL TAKE-OFF (SPARES) for water treatment Plant was new MTO and added in this clarification. Bidders should quotation this MTO also.

3.      Clarification for Gas Treatment Plant

3.1  A.

BT-1A31, BT-1A32 spec. data sheet see Attachment 4: CILBCFQ-760-PIP-15.03-10017_1_BT-1A31,BT-1A32 specification BT-1A31,BT-1A32 are steam jacked valves.
B.

For these anti-sulfur valve, because acid resistance of cast A216-WCB is poor, The body material should be forged A105+3mm

3.2  Tag Number and Data Sheet for Backflow Preventer see Attachment 5. CMIT-762-EQP-15.17-16002_B_DATA SHEET FOR PRESSURE RELIEF

3.3  For 600Lb globe valve (GL-6D31S, GL-6D32S, GL-6D33S) in Gas Treatment Plant, the body material should be A105, we propose to use WCB. Please confirm.

Reply : For 600lb globe valve GL-6D31S，GL-6D32S，GL-6D33，because acid resistance of cast A216-WCB is poor, The body material should be forged A105+3mm。

3.4  For GA-6A14 in data sheet & MTO in Gas Treatment Plant, the design standard is API 600,but the structure of the trim is flat gate valve which should be API 6D standard. Please confirm it is wedge type or flat gate type.

Reply: For  gate valve GA-6A14, because equipment is modular design ,API 600 gate valve is smaller, so API600 gate valve is used, the gate should be wedge type。

3.5  The body of anti-sulfur check valve request forging A105+3mm, we propose to change to casting WCB.

Reply: For anti-sulfer check valve, because acid  resistance of cast A216-WCB is poor, The body material should be forged A105+3mm。

3.6  The body of dual plate check valve request casting WCB, we propose to change to forging A105.

Reply: All GAS PALNT carbon steel check valve is single plate, this problem is inexistence.
