Subject: Clarification about Technical Specification

 

Dear Tenderers,

Several clarification requests for Bid No.: CMIT-PRT-10.30-150044 regarding the pipes data sheet and specification has been received by CNOOC Iraq Limited.

Please check the following clarifications in a question（Q）& answer（A） manner：

 

Q1: Kindly note that do not have steel manufacturing unit of our own. We generally import the steel plates for the project based on the specs and approved Steel Mills of the project.

A1: Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in Section 6 VENDOR REGISTRATION AND PRE-QUALIFICATION article 3.4

.

Q2：Kindly note that size16'' & 18’’ is within our LSAW pipe manufacturing range, hence we would like to offer these as LSAW pipes. Accordingly, the bends of these sizes shall also be offered with mother pipes of bends being LSAW pipes.

A2: Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in SECTION 3 TECHNICAL PACKAGE

DESCRIPTION OF MATERIALS article 2 Pipe & Hot Bond List.

 

Q3: The Supplier has its own whole process of steel pipe manufacture factory

A3: Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in Section 6 VENDOR REGISTRATION AND PRE-QUALIFICATION article 3.4.

 

Q4： The Supplier has the steel pipes supplying performance in IRAQ only without the Market Access Approval from Ministry of Oil (MoO) of IRAQ

A4：Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in Section 6 VENDOR REGISTRATION AND PRE-QUALIFICATION article 3.7.

 

Q5：Change from SAWL to Seamless, or change thickness, or change from 52NS to 52QS

A5：Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in SECTION 3 TECHNICAL PACKAGE

DESCRIPTION OF MATERIALS article 2 Pipe & Hot Bond List.

 

Q6：Supplier shall deliver each component of the Material at the Departure Point, and make shipment with the Schedule

A6: Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in SECTION 3 TECHNICAL PACKAGE

Q7：Please advise what is coating material for "LPE + 3PP "

A7: Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in SECTION 3 TECHNICAL PACKAGE

Q8：Please confirm will partial bids be acceptable

A8：Company does not accept partial bids.

 

Q9： we request you please extend the bid submission closing date by July 26, 2015.

A9：Company do not accept bid extension

 

Q10：Requesting Approval to participate in this bidding as authorized company by manufacturer

A10：Please follow ITT requirements mentioned in Section 6 VENDOR REGISTRATION AND PRE-QUALIFICATION article 16.1
